City Athletics Competition at Monkton Stadium
Well done to all the children that competed in the City Athletics meeting at Monkton Stadium last Thursday. This was a fantastic event for the boys and girls that represented the school in a big athletics meeting. The team was mainly year 5 and 6 boys and girls however one boy from year 4 competed. The girls were second in their competition by a point and the boys won their competition which meant that overall Hotspur won the Primary Schools Athletics trophy! A fantastic collective achievement from all of the children! There was also some brilliant performances from individuals in their event, where five children qualified to represent the city at an intercity meeting in Hexham! Congratulations to all the children that represented the school in a magnificent manner.
