LANGUAGES DAY 2022
On Languages Day, we all came together to celebrate and promote our linguistic diversity here at Hotspur and to promote a love for language learning. As a multi-lingual school, we have over 37 languages being spoken and a ‘Languages Day’ was a perfect opportunity to celebrate just that.
In the afternoon, each class was given a world map to locate and champion all the areas of the world where their children’s linguistic diversity comes from.
They were also given a particular language and country to research further. All children learned to say ‘Hello’ and ‘Goodbye’ in that language and completed a range of wonderful activities.
Languages Day was a fantastic opportunity to introduce and promote a love for learning another language and celebrate different cultures. It has been incredible to see so many children proudly sharing their linguistic skills this week.
