Virtual Singing Assembly - Week 2

Welcome back to our Virtual Singing Assembly.

This week:

  • Our warm up is a pick from Durham Music Service's online provision (which is vast - check it out) and Mrs Sellers teaches us 'Rig and a Jig'

  • Hotspur have an 80s classic to share featuring instrumentalists from one of our critical-worker bubbles - Phillip Oakley & Giorgio Moroder's Together in Electric Dreams

  • Friend of Hotspur Rob Kitchen has a great music lesson on drawing sound - have a go. He uses pretty cool pieces from John Cage, Terry Riley and Purcell. Can you use those pieces to produce some drawings or choose 3 other pieces? We'd love to see the results.

  • We're sharing 'Elephants have Wrinkles', a great song for our children in Early Years & Foundation Stage... and a great song full stop(!) - led by Sage Gateshead's Eleanor Mooney.

  • Archive video of a Hotspur favourite - Bella Mama

We hope you enjoy and are singing along at home.
