Virtual Singing Assembly - Week 4

Hello everybody

This week we have:

  • Flashback to Mr Gardner and Mr Johnston's 'Roll the Old Chariot' - a sea shanty, well ahead of the trend.

  • Rob Kitchen is back with some great body percussion patterns ranging from really easy to a really fun challenge. This is something everyone can join in with, including our critical worker groups in school who aren't able to sing along - Wellerman (trad Sea Shanty)

  • Singup are doing their #feelgoodfifteen - this week Chanté and Itoya are teaching us a brilliant song about a kid called Billy who didn't let the fact he didn't have a band to accompany him get in his way! - Billy the Kid

  • Eleanor Mooney (Sage Gateshead) teaches us a great song to show off all our wonderful animal impressions. As I Came Walking Down the Street

  • Lastly, in honour of Burns night this week, we look back at when Hotspur and other schools in the Ouseburn Learning Trust performed with Scottish Opera at Sage Gateshead - an opera based on the famous Burns poem Tam O Shanter. Look carefully, you may spot some older brothers and sisters.
